Richard
Prince Books.com is the latest project by U.K. based photographic
artist Max Malandrino.
The
work of Richard Prince has influenced Max's artistic career since
early 1990 when he first discovered appropriation art.
As
well as detailed information on the various books and exhibition
catalogues by Richard Prince you can now buy a wide selection
of the rare and O.O.P. Richard Prince titles online at Richard
Prince Books. The site also showcases Max's latest collection
of photographic images titled 'Richard Prints' which focus on
Richard Prince's artwork, books, catalogues and related ephemera.
By assembling and juxtaposing these carefully selected books and
reference materials, Max is attempting to create a direct photographic
continuation of subject and it's subject matter. The viewer is
presented with a photographic arranged 'version' of an existing
re-photographed image.
Max
has now collated his 'Richard Prints' range of images into a limited
edition book which is titled Richard Prints. (All The Best) Books
By Richard Prince. A Photographic Study of the Books of Richard
Prince by Max Malandrino. The limited edition book is co-published
with Paul
Stolper Gallery and was released at the Printed Matter
New York Art Book Fair in 2010. It is available through The Serpentine
Gallery bookshop, The Saatchi Gallery London, ccc. Japan, The
ICA Bookshop, Louis Vuitton Bookshop Bond Street, Tate Modern,
Christophe Daviet-Thery Bookshop, Claire de Rouen Books, Pygmalion
Books at the Bibliotheque Nationale de France and BookMarc by
Marc Jacobs. Please visit the CONTACT / ADDITIONAL ITEMS page
